French leather goods expertise, from beret to bag
Made in France in our workshops at the foot of the Pyrenees, Laulhère leather goods were born from the combination of two historic skills rooted in Basque beret making: felt and leatherwork. Each design is shaped from a single piece of felt made from 100% merino wool, with no assembly seams, creating a pure, timeless aesthetic enhanced by cowhide leather details and chrome-finished metal hardware.
This single-piece construction changes everything. While traditional leatherworking involves cutting, assembling and stitching separate sections, our artisans work with the material as a continuous whole. The felt follows the shape without interruption, topstitching or an added lining. This more technically demanding construction allows the wool to express its full character while giving each piece its structure.

Which design for which use?
Laulhère’s first leather goods collection brings together four essentials designed for everyday life. The Charlie backpack, Noa tote bag and Sacha laptop sleeve are available in a palette of deep, bold colours. The Camille belt completes the collection with the same exacting approach to materials and French craftsmanship.
The Charlie backpack keeps your hands free throughout urban commutes and long days. The Noa tote bag sits comfortably on the shoulder and is equally suited to a working day or a weekend away. The Sacha sleeve protects your laptop, whether carried alone or slipped inside one of our bags. The Camille belt brings the same combination of wool felt and leather to the finishing touch of an outfit. Four unisex designs created for women and men alike.
Choosing your colour
Colour is another signature of this collection. Wool felt captures light differently from leather, giving each shade a matt, dense and deep appearance. Dark tones work effortlessly with any wardrobe and age with subtlety, while vibrant colours transform a bag into a statement piece, either complementing or deliberately contrasting with the rest of the look. The same design, two entirely different expressions.
Fine materials, dyed and certified in France
The wool felt is dyed in our workshops in France using an OEKO-TEX® Standard 100-certified process. These designs embody our vision of style: sincere, expressive and enduring. Discover them as part of our Autumn-Winter 2026-2027 “Miroir d’Automne” collection.
With the right care, wool felt is made to last. Gentle brushing is enough to revive the material, while dust should be removed when dry, without water or machine washing. The cowhide leather details can be cared for like any natural leather, using a dry cloth and an occasional nourishing leather treatment.
