A woman’s bag is rarely a neutral accessory. It is carried every day, it is seen, and it eventually becomes as much a part of the silhouette as a coat. That is why the material matters just as much as the shape. Ours is merino wool felt, finished with cowhide leather details. This combination is rarely found in leather goods and stems from our original craft: making berets. Felt takes leather goods in a different direction. It is matt where leather shines, supple where leather provides structure, and light where leather adds weight. On our bags, felt forms the body of the piece while leather provides reinforcement. On the Camille belt, the two materials share centre stage: one side in felt, the other in leather, reversible to suit your outfit.

Women’s leather goods: why choose felt rather than leather?
Because the experience is different, beginning with the weight.
A felt bag weighs considerably less than a leather bag of the
same size, and the difference becomes noticeable over the course
of a full day, particularly when carried over the shoulder,
where the entire load rests on one side. This is the first
benefit mentioned by women who carry their bag every day.
The way the material ages is also different. Smooth leather
retains the marks of everything that happens to it: a scratch
cannot be undone. Felt absorbs everyday knocks, develops a patina
and does not hold on to every minor mishap.
That does not mean we exclude leather—quite the opposite.
Cowhide leather is used for the details. On the Camille
belt,
it covers an entire side.
Then there is the look. Felt is matt and dense: it pairs
naturally with a wool coat, chunky knitwear or a flannel skirt,
whereas patent leather can compete with these materials.
Over the shoulder, in the hand or on the back?
How a bag is carried is more decisive than its shape, because
it depends not on what you take with you, but on what you need
your hands for.
Over the shoulder or carried by hand, the Noa
tote bag
is the most versatile design in the collection. It adapts to
the day’s needs and moves effortlessly from the office to the
weekend, without the need to change bags. It is also the
easiest to set down and pick up again, which matters when
you sit down frequently.
On the back, the Charlie
backpack
is the natural choice when the load increases or the day
involves plenty of walking. It distributes the weight across
both shoulders and leaves your hands free—something that makes
a greater difference to city life than you might imagine.
Under the arm, the Sacha
pouch
is ideal when you only need to carry a laptop and the essentials.
It can also be slipped inside either of the other bags to
protect your device within a larger design.
A neutral bag or one that stands out?
Colour can completely change how a bag works within an outfit.
In a dark or natural shade, it complements the silhouette without
dominating it. In a bolder colour, it becomes the starting point
of the look: the detail that lifts a black coat, denim or plain
knitwear.
Our leather goods deliberately embrace both possibilities.
Some colours are easy to coordinate and designed for everyday
wear, while others have a stronger presence. Intense blue, red,
green, pink and brighter shades allow you to move beyond choosing
a bag simply because it “goes with everything”.
Felt also gives these colours a distinctive character.
Its dense, matt surface avoids a glossy effect: deeper tones gain
dimension, while brighter shades remain easy to wear. The colour
stands out without taking over.
There is therefore no single right colour for a women’s bag.
There is the one you choose to complement your wardrobe and the
one you choose precisely to shake it up. The same design can
create an entirely different effect depending on its colour.
Are our women’s bags truly unisex?
Yes, with no difference in shape or dimensions. This is not
a compromise: it is the same design, with the colour determining
its character. A black tote bag and a raspberry tote bag do not
tell the same story.
